NIJ (National Institute of Justice) Level IIIA is a ballistic protection rating indicating that the material can stop handgun rounds, including .357 SIG and .44 Magnum, at velocities up to 1,400 fps. It does not protect against rifle rounds, which require higher-rated plates like NIJ Level III or IV.

Yes. We do not sell over the Internet mainly due to a number of return issues. Also, we do not want this type of product sold to anyone or youth without the consent of their parents.

No. This is state-of-the-art, cutting-edge flexible armor thinner than your cell phone case.

Do you do returns?

We do returns for damaged products only. The appointment at our shop ensures a perfect fit.

Is your showroom private?

Yes. We invite one party at a time. Should you bump up again another party’s time. There is a lounge and kitchen area you are more than welcome to visit while we finish up.

What are your hours of operation?

We are available Thursday, Friday, Saturday 4:30am to 7:30pm.

Why do I have to make an appointment?

Privacy and discretion are giant components of our customer experience. No one needs to know your new casual jacket contains 5.7×28 rated ammo protection.

Why don't you sell online?

A third of all bulletproof clothing purchased online is returned due to a bad fit. This is bad for the customer and worse for us. So we, a Phoenix based company solely concerned with the safety and security of fellow Arizonans, we humbly ask you visit our showroom for a proper fitting.

Does your hoodie have head protection?

No. If you are planning on using our clothing in a tactical environment, you should also be wearing a tactical helmet.

What is the warranty?

​All ballistic panels carry a 5 year warranty from the manufacturing date. Panels are serialized and manufactured as a set as well as registered to the buyer.

​Failure to properly care for your jacket in accordance to the included care instructions may void this warranty. Any modifications made to our products without the explicit written permission of Imaginary Defense Limited Liability Company will constitute a violation of our terms and conditions and will void the products warranty.

What are the plates made of?
